APDT's 24th Annual Conference Now Accepting Proposals for Shorts Submissions

February 14, 2017 - The Association of Professional Dog Trainers has announced its, "Call for Shorts Presentations" for the 24th Annual Educational conference and Trade Show. Proposals for APDT Shorts are accepted through Jun. 1, 5pm PT/8pm ET.

APDT Foundation Now Accepting Grant and Poster Proposals, Scholarship Applications

February 14, 2017 - The APDT Foundation is now accepting proposals for grants to conduct research in a field related to behavior analysis, ethology and cognition. 

January is the APDT's National Train Your Dog Month!

December 16, 2016 - Start 2017 on the right paw with the APDT's National Train Your Dog Month, which celebrates dogs and stresses the importance of canine training among pet professionals as well as modern families with four-legged members.

APDT Office Holiday Schedule

The APDT office will be closed Fri., Dec. 23-Mon., Jan. 2 in observance of the holidays. We will reopen at 8am ET on Tues., Jan. 3.

Washington State Trainer Joins APDT Board of Directors

Dec 12, 2016 - Lisa R. McCluskey, BS, CPDT-KSA, CBCC-KA, has joined the board of directors of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT). An eighth position was recently added to the board and McCluskey was appointed to serve a three-year term that will begin Jan. 1, 2017.
